Assam Agricultural University (AAU) – Overview

Assam Agricultural University (AAU) is the premier institution for agricultural education and research in the northeastern region of India. Established in 1969, it is located in Jorhat, Assam, and was the first agricultural university in the northeastern states. It operates under the Department of Agriculture Research and Education (DARE), Government of India, and is recognized by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).

Objectives:
